We are requesting Baw Baw Shire Council's Planning
Department to insert a condition on the above mentioned
Planning Permit to require the Applicant to retain the row
of trees on the Southern boundary of the proposed
Subdivision.

Reasons why we believe these trees should be retained.

These trees strongly contribute to the visual amenity of
the area and are visible throughout the Warragul township
to as far away as Buln Buln.

They enhance the rural nature of the existing low density
surrounding development.

They provide privacy and screening to and from
neighboring properties.

They have an historical significance being planted in the
late 1940's.

Trees situated on ridge line and provide a visual reference
point throughout the town.

60+ years of growth of trees cannot be replaced overnight.

Strong concern about lack of replacement requirements if
trees are removed from the land.

Loss of habitat.
