AS A SOVEREIGN NATION, WE SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY OFFICE WITH AUTHORITY OVER OUR GOVERNANCE IN THIS COUNTRY, WHERE THE HOLDER OF THAT OFFICE REPORTS TO OUR COLONIZED LEADER.
IT IS EITHER WE ARE INDEPENDENT OR WE ARE NOT. LET US HAVE A REPUBLIC THEN. IN THIS ERA WHERE WE ARE SEEING THE REMOVAL OF SO MANY RELICS AND SYMBOLS OF SLAVERY AND OPPRESSION OF OUR MINDS.
IT IS ONLY FAIR THAT WE EXAMINE MORE THAN STATUES AND MONUMENTS,
We, the undersigned, call on our legislators to eliminate the need for a governor general. This does not reflect our independence and it is an insult to our Heroes.
