SASTA is an organization that was recently formed in this pandemic for transport drivers nationally in South Africa so that they can have a voice and be recognized as people who do a clean hustle and love they’re jobs. We are people who support the government by pouring petrol, paying disc, buying Tyres and constantly renewing our PDPs every year. Recently we’ve contacted the minister including the office of the president multiple times with no luck. The government has turned a blind eye to people whom have families also and have stomachs to feed. Recently he called us corrupt to the bone on live media.
We the undersigned SASTA, call on the Government of South Africa to create a relief fund for transport drivers as they’re also affected by the pandemic as much as drivers.
