This petition is to get the law changed so that mothers and other family members can be prosecuted for doing nothing to help children that were being abused.
The law that was passed in 2012 doesn't include the people who it happened to in the past... no one realises how many mothers have stood by their paedophile partners even though the men have been prosecuted and found guilty... these women should pay the price too.
We need the Irish government to change this law.
We the undersigned call on the Irish government to include adults who knew of children being abused and who did nothing to protect them, to be liable to prosecution.
Change the law from 2012 to include these individuals.
