The corner of Bellevue Ave and Niles Ave continutes to be an area of great danger for the pedestrians and traffic in this area. This has been the area of three or four traffic accidents in the last year. This is especially hazardous because of children and traffic attending Mt. Calvary Academy and the city's park accross the street and the newly opended George Butts Park, on Bellevue Avenue.
We have requested the city of Daytona to place caution light in this area, on several occasions. It is our opinion that the placement of this caution light will tremendously add to the safety of our children and help prevent our children from injury.
We, the undersigned qualified registered voters, parents of students of Mt. Calvary Acadedmy, and concerned adults are petitioning the City of Daytona Beach and the Departments of Traffic of Daytona Beach, to place a "caution light" at the entrance of Mt. Calvary Academly Academy, on Bellevue and a Niles Ave.
