This petition is not about debating what medical treatments or protocols may or may not be effective.
This is about respecting the decisions of families and parents, and defending their right to determine what health measures are in the best interests of their children.
The Principle, the Superintendent, the health department, the Governor and other public organizations may make suggestions, or create guidance as to what health measures they feel appropriate, but none of them have the right or authority to require or mandate any medical device, or procedure, or diagnostic method on a child without the clear, express and informed consent of each individual parent or legal guardian.
WE the undersigned petition the Grant County Board of Education as follows:
There shall be no (current or future) rule, regulation or mandate requiring any medical device(s), any medical treatment(s) (preventative or curative) or any medical diagnostic procedure(s) of any individual attending Grant County Public Schools without first obtaining the clear, express and informed consent of the parent or legal guardian of that individual.
