Charter of Rights and Freedoms in Ontario?

The Government of the Province of Ontario has allowed the Drive Test organization and it's driving test examiners to indefinitely withdraw their services to residents of Ontario while they attempt to negotiate a new collective agreement.

The suspension of such services infringes on the rights of citizens living in Ontario.

A Petition to the Honourable Dalton McGuinty, First Minister of the Crown of The Province of Ontario, Canada.

We, the undersigned, call on the Office of the Premier of Ontario to resume all Driver Testing Services immediately.

Ontarians have a right to a fair and timely drivers license examination in order to sustain their business, family and social commitments in their community. The current disruption represents a flagrant disregard for the rights of new drivers. Section 31 of The Highway Traffic Act of Ontario offers new drivers a privilege of obtaining the right to drive in Ontario.

Currently no such privilege is available. This is unconstitutional in Canada.
