I feel that New Orleans and Louisiana in general need a good economic boost after the BP oil spill in '10 and due to the current state of the economy.
Anyone who's been to the French Quarter in New Orleans knows there's a Strip Club on every block and that you've got to watch where you step or you'll end up in a puddle of vomit. Would legalizing marijuana hurt the city of New Orleans or boost tourism?
I feel it would be great for the city and if I could raise 1,000,000 signatures of people agreeing to visit New Orleans and spend $1,000, maybe the Government will take note!
We, the undersigned, promise to visit New Orleans and spend a minimum of $1,000 each if it was legal to openly enjoy marijuana.
We feel that it's a shame that people can come and drink until they puke 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year and that's fine.
The restaurant and tourism industries will greatly benefit from our promise to bring our dollars to your city.
