McDonald's should cater for coeliacs in Ireland

There are over 50,000 people diagnosed with coeliac disease in Ireland, being one of the highest rates in the world and yet one of the biggest fast food restaurants (McDonald's) do not cater for coeliacs. After returning from Italy and Portugal recently we discovered that McDonald's in other countries do cater for coeliacs. Not just salads and chips but meals, from big macs to happy meals. After contacting McDonald's here in Ireland regarding this, we were told that it would not be something they will do. Having seen my three year olds daughters face having a McDonald's hamburger kids meal for the first time I thought this should be something she should be able to experience in Ireland, at home either with her family or at a friends birthday party. If McDonald's in other countries can do it, then why not here in Ireland.
