Mansa Musu Story

We the undersigned are petitioning for Netflix to create the Mansa Musu story.

Mansa Musu - also known as the richest man that ever lived - had a combined fortune of $4.317 Trillion. His rise to power in Mali was not through bloodshed, but through appointment. He ruled the Mali Empire in the 14th century and his land was laden with lucrative natural resources, most notably gold. However, his wealth is only a small piece of his rich history and believe his story should be told. Aside from his wealth, It was his journey that quintessentially put him on the map.

We are petitioning to tell Mansa Musu’s story not only because of our Western lack of knowledge in regards to African dynasties, but to encourage the cross-cultural exchange and promote learning through entertainment. In a time where consumers are suffering from sequel fatigue, there is an opportunity to be the first network to do it excellently and we believe that the team at Netflix is capable of creating something fantastic.
