I am executing a petition to include socioeconomic s in public school curriculum. I believe that through education young people will gain a better understanding of how our society affects economics and vice verse.
I believe this is an invaluable piece to understanding how society operates and equipping young people with the knowledge to make informed political and life decisions as well as help others to overcome some of the socioeconomic barriers that they are faced with.
Only through education will people be able to recognize what problems they face and how to overcome them.
We the undersigned call on the Indiana State Board of Education to mandate Socioeconomic s in the Public School Curriculum.
We believe that through education our society will gain a better understanding of how economics and society interrelate and this will in turn equip our young people with the knowledge to recognize what barriers they face as well as what barriers other citizens face and how they can overcome them or help others to overcome them.
We also believe this will help them to make better political and life decisions and will help to remove prejudice among different socioeconomic groups.
