There is easily more than 30 medical marijuana dispensaries in the mid city area alone. They line up each side of the streets on any main blvd like venice, la brea, washington, fairfax, the list can go on.
The influence it has on the youth is great and I as a student of a local school in mid city see the effects they have on the youth in my community first hand.
Marijuana can be acquired easily by any school student of any age in Los Angeles due to the abundance of shops that sometimes sell medical marijuana to people who aren't even registered patients and minors. Every home in the area is within walking distance from medical dispensaries. Parks and movies and more positive recreational facilities are less common compared to the number of medical marijuana shops in the city.
We, the undersigned, call on you, Karen Bass to fight to lower the number of medical marijuana dispensaries allowed in the district to help reform the way our youth act and think when it comes to the use of drugs at an early age.
