The current crisis is impacting the entire world, without sparing a single country, a single culture, or a single religion. We are in this together. Our differences have been traded for shared hardship. While the world is sharing medical equipment, scientists from all over the world are working together to come up with a vaccine, we need an extra symbol of our togetherness in this crisis. Therefore, as a strong sign of unity, we hereby ask all former olympic cities to simultaneously light their olympic flame again on May 31 at 12pm local Athens time.
We, the undersigned, call on the mayors of all former olympic cities to light the olympic flame once more on May 31 at 12pm Athens time as a sign of hope and unity.
