The Life at Conception Act HB 413 - This bill legally recognizes an unborn human as a person, regardless of the age of that unborn human. It prohibits all from killing these unborn persons regardless of age. This bill forbids all methods of abortion including but not limited to medical, surgical or chemical.
Why Life at Conception?
Regardless of politics, there always exists moral right and wrong. The purposeful taking of an innocent human being’s life will always be wrong. Abortion is the greatest human rights issue of our day, claiming the lives of over 61 million unborn persons in the United States alone; each passing day adds to the death toll. Regulating abortion will not end it. However, legally establishing that life begins at conception will.
In the past year alone, the United States has seen laws pass legalizing abortion up to the moment of birth. It has seen our political representatives openly support infanticide which takes the life of a born infant. Furthermore, we have seen Congress refuse to pass a law to protect and care for babies who are born alive after attempted abortions. We have reached a critical point in this fight for life. The fact that our society accepts this barbarism is further evidence that we need Life at Conception now more than ever.

We the People of the State of Ohio affirm that the right to life applies without exception to every human person, from the moment of conception until natural death, regardless of individual characteristics, biological traits, or life situation.
Therefore, we reject the unjust ruling of Roe v. Wade, and other related cases that deny the inalienable right to life of preborn human beings who are made in the image of God.
We move to re-establish equal protection under the law by firmly declaring that all human beings, in all stages and in all circumstances, are persons with rights at the moment of conception.
We call upon members of the Ohio House to co-sponsor HB 413 and support it passage. We call on members of the Ohio Senate to support a companion bill in the senate.
