To save money, the council proposes to cut budgets and to stop directly running all of it's Sure Start centres. The centre seems to be subject to cuts immediately, having already seen reductions to their budget, and it has already been announced that they are axing early years teaching.
It seems some activities and services have already been affected and many more will follow shortly.
We the undersigned believe that Levenshulme Sure Start Childrens' Centre provides an invaluable service to the children and families of Levenshulme and is essential to the future of the area.
The City Council should do everything within their power to ensure that the centre can continue to provide this service.
