Salt Lake City, Utah unfortunately has a problem with unleashed dogs. Personally, I have been bitten by three unleashed dogs and my dog, Skip passed away due to an unleashed dog. Therefore, I have started this petition to help bring awareness into our city. It is the law to leash your dog and dog owners must be notified of this.
We the undersigned residents of Salt Lake City, Utah are proposing this petition to help with the problems that have presented themselves due to unleashed dogs. We request the city to provide "Leash Your Dog" signs and signs that make people aware of the fines. We also request that the first offense fines be increased from the insubstantial 25 dollars.
