The Kiwanis Club of Dunedin, Inc (“the Club”), through Dunedin Kiwanis Foundation, Inc., is dedicated to improving the lives children and families in our local communities. Through its fund-raising efforts, and in partnership with the city of Dunedin, our Club has helped the city to establish the Boundless Playground located at the Dunedin Community Center, the Kiwanis Sprayground at Highlander Park and Aquatic Complex, and the Kiwanis Fit Zone at Weaver Park. Our Club is now offering to assist the city of Dunedin with establishing an Archery Range in Dunedin for surrounding archers to utilize and enjoy. The scope of this Kiwanis Archery Range will support the Dunedin Community Center’s current archery program, which has already helped to enable four local teen archers to attend college with full scholarships. An official, designated archery range in Dunedin may also enable surrounding schools to implement their own programs, without the financial and logistic requirements for initiating new school programs. Pinellas County has numerous youth and adult archers who have no convenient location at which to practice and engage in the sport of archery. This gift our Club is offering to the community can also potentially support official archery competitions, and bring archers and their families from all over the country to visit and enjoy Dunedin and its adjacent local communities.
