Violence and human right abuse is on the rise in Sierra Leone west Africa especially politically motivated ones. In August of 2019, there was a bye election campaign in the city of Freetown Sierra Leone and a teenage boy happened to be in an area claimed to be a no go area by supporters of the governmental candidate. This boy was tied up, beating, tortured; all video taped and was locked up in the central prison for a long time. Calls demanding his release because of his health and injuries were ignored and was denied bail. When he was finally released in poor health, a humanitarian took him to the hospital where he underwent surgery and luckily has lived to tell his story.

We the undersigned, call on the UN, ECOWAS and all international partners to please help bring justice for this boy.
