The housing costs are simply ridiculous, and it has become almost impossible to own a home without mounds of debt following.
I myself am a young hard working woman who contributes to society in many different forms and yet I'm not rewarded for my philanthropy, I like many others am struggling day to day to stay afloat.
I'm in the midst of developing a business, something that is my baby and like anyone else starting a business, I want to be successful. But with putting funds into a new project I am only able to scrummage up a few pennies and dimes in hopes of one day coming up with a decent down payment for my first home.
Not only do people in my age group (20's) have issues with finding an affordable home but baby boomers are also stressed, with paying their mortgages or rent, they are forced to downsize or move in with their children due to their CPP being lowered.
This petition is made for those of you who are frustrated with Vancouver's housing costs being so unaffordable.
If you would like to be apart of the solution and push for change, please sign the petition and share your comments.
Ultimately I want the Vancouver Housing Authority to wake up and try to understand the reality and true hardship of our societies poor to middle class people in Vancouver.

Once I receive a sufficient amount of signatures, I personally and alone will walk down to the appropriate government boards and also meet with the MP to talk revising our cities financial budgets and plans. Ultimately the goal is to in agreement, find solutions taking the best path to execute our tax dollars, sort our outstanding debt and balance our cities financial structure so our end result will help lower our housing costs.
