With the recent changes in the ladies' handicapping system in golf, the fun has gone out of golf for ladies.
Concern for going up point 1 as a result of playing in difficult weather conditions or on strange courses is stopping women from playing. Turn out for ladies opens has dropped quite considerably.
It is accepted that players on 5 and under should comply with international standards, but for those on 6 and above, there should be a less threatening method.
We, the undersigned, call on the LGU,ELGA,WLGU, ILGU and the SLGA to reassess the handicap system in order to put the fun back in ladies' golf.
