It has been over 25 - 30 years and Gary Puckett and The Union Gap Band have not been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame... It’s about time they are.

Gary Puckett and The Union Gap were founded in 1967 in San Diego, CA. The group pioneered a most unique sound with Gary Puckett's powerful soaring lead vocals fronting the group.

The group also pioneered a unique look by sporting Civil War uniforms dress. The group's amazing sound, combined with their attire, led to their skyrocket to huge success in the music industry. Gary Puckett And The Union Gap racked up an incredible six in a row Mega Million Selling string of hits, not even Elvis had accomplished this! The group also outsold The Beatles in record sales in 1968, a milestone achievement for sure! The Union Gap's songs were focused on young love, and their problematic issues. This made a great connection with their audience, and overall appeal.

Gary Puckett And The Union Gap are great 1960's Icons, and are legendary components of this era in entertainment. The band members are: Gary Puckett, Dwight Bement, Kerry Chater, Gary Withem, and Paul Wheatbread. The legendary Iconic Group appeared frequently with the best of entertainment on The Ed Sullivan TV show.
