The last time the fairground was at Warout stadium was in 2012 and since then there hasn't really been anything for the young ones to do and the closest the fairground comes is Gilvenbank and for most of Glenrothes that is too far to travel and not convenient for transport.
There were one or two complaints from older locals about the fair previously which is the reason it was stopped but if security was provided this should alleviate any worries associated with this. Glenrothes is a growing town and needs to cater for all the local people, it will also bring in much needed funds for the local council as well as local businesses making it a win for all concerned.
GGP Funfair, a member of the Association of Independent Showmen (AIS) are willing to have talks with local councillors to agree terms and coordinate with other showmen so Glenrothes can have a funfair emphasising on the word fun for all.
I am writing this petition to try to get the fairground back in to warout stadium, the fairground was a great way to get family's out and about in Glenrothes, there isn't that much to do in Glenrothes for the young people or families and bringing the fairground back would really bring people out and give them something to do
