Evidentally, the cost of gasoline doesn't bother people badly enough that passing on the email about a petition was as important as sending chain emails that threaten to damn you with eternity in hell if you don't pass it on to 75 people in the next 10 minutes! Oh well, at least I tried!
This petition was written and created on September 3rd, 2005, to urge President George W. Bush to help relieve us of the outragous, and still increasing, costs of fuel.

The American people need your help in a most desperate way. With the current cost per gallon of gasoline, people are struggling. Many people are spending more money on fuel in a month than they pay for the rent or mortgage on their home! And some of us will have to cut back on necessities in order to continue to commute to our jobs!
Please, put a cap on this now, or order cost-of-living increases in salaries nationwide. Something has to be done before our unemployment rate goes up also!
