FTM is campaigning to have public transport become free. Governments have a duty to provide basic services for their citizens, transport is one of those duties.
Creating Public transport FREE has many benefits:
1. well.. transport is FREE!! saving hundreds of thousands of families and pensioners thousands of dollars a year.
2. Money is saved through no longer being wasted fixing defunct machines and paying for intimidating, rude, bullying 'authorised officers'.
3. Public Transport usage will increase, easing the burden on public roads (which might i add are free to use) and allocating funding to be spent on the public transport system rather than on roads to accommodate dirty polluting cars.
We believe public transport should be free to ALL members of society.
Rather than wasting taxpayer's money on useless initiatives and purchases like redundant military hardware, our taxes should be used to provide us with free public transport.
