Due to a landslide caused by excessive rain, Kentucky Route 1428 has been closed to traffic since the middle of February, 2019, approximately two months ago. We, the concerned tax-payers who are affected daily by this inconvenience, feel this has gone on far too long. The increase in gas use, vehicle wear, and the additional time requirements imposed by the closing have become an economic burden too heavy to bear.

Unfortunately, there is no end in sight; no official updates, posts, announcements, etc.
We call upon our elected officials to correct this issue. We ask that updates be provided on the status of repairs, and that an official estimated date of completion be announced.
