There are currently plenty of off leash areas but no fenced areas for dogs in the Toowoomba area. This simply makes it unsafe for dogs to play, especially for those who are deaf of have other disabilities.
Dog parks are great for allowing dogs to get proper socialization and exercise in a secure contained space.
They also allow parents to safely bring their smaller children to the park without fear that an over zealous dog might knock them down.
We, the undersigned, call on the Toowoomba Regional Council to install safe, fenced dog parks in the Toowoomba region.
