Although when the drinking age was raised to 21 years of age drunk driving accidents sharply decreased, it is wrong to have the drinking age this high.
When a citizen turns 18 he/she may vote and die for his or her country but not legally drink alcohol.
If people over the age of 18 are mature enough to make large decisions like that, they should be able to choose whether or not to consume alcohol.
This is a petition to lower the drinking age to 18. It is ridiculous to have the drinking age at 21 when persons over the age of 18 can vote for who rules their country and they can also fight and die for their country.
If a person can make those big decisions then they should be able to choose whether or not to consume alcohol.
