South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council: Please do not target PENSIONERS to pay bills.
Veterans clubs in South Tyneside have been a way for the elderly pensioners to enjoy a social life in their twilight years, they have done this through the years with a little help from the local authority.
This is now being threatened by the authority now telling them that they must pay the utility bills from March 2012.
We the undersigned object to the proposal by South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council to make members of the Borough's VETERANS Clubs to pay the utility bills, and ask them to reconsider this decision and look for a more realistic alternative.
