Saddam has been sentenced to death.
We believe that Iraq should imprison him instead as a sign that they are willing to move on from the past and renounce governmental violence.
We believe that the Iraqi people should not execute Saddam. If they instead punished him with life imprisonment it would be a huge step forward in making Iraq a better and more unified country.
Iraq's President Jalal Talabani is against the death penalty, so we call on him not to allow an execution to take place.
