Paws and Claws is proud to support the efforts of the Kemmerer Student Council of Canyon Elementary School.

The children along with Student Council sponsors Ben and Audrey Anne Weber have started a petition to have the Border Collie named as the official state dog of Wyoming.

We believe the Border Collie breed is an integral part of Wyoming's ranching history. The Border Collie is known for his intense stare which is used to control his flock.

The Border Collie has unlimited energy, lots of stamina and plenty of working drive which makes these dogs the premiere herding breed.

Today, across the State of Wyoming, Border Collies are not only used to herd sheep but are considered great family companions by many.

We, the Canyon Elementary Student Council, propose to make the Border Collie the official state dog of Wyoming.
