Sign this petition to show your support to the Coppell City Council to pass a city ordinance which will prohibit tethering of animals in Coppell. INDEFINITE tethering of animals is permitted under Texas state law so long as a choke or prong collar is not used and the tether is on a pulley-type system (among other standalone exceptions). Unfortunately, this has been happening in Coppell for the past 5 years.
We, the undersigned citizens of Coppell, Texas, call on the Coppell City Council to pass a city ordinance prohibiting all tethering of animals in Coppell.
