Littering and trash is a HUGE problem in Bristol, CT. on the streets and in the parks. Nip bottles/alcohol bottles are the front runners. Fast food containers, masks, and general trash make the top list in order. Bristol needs to make this a priority to attract businesses, people and visitors to the town. The presence of trash on every street does not make Bristol a city that has pride. It must start with an effective plan/program from the city. It needs to be enacted and sustained so that Bristol can be a city that attracts positive commerce.

Trash/littering is getting out of control in Bristol, CT. The leading culprit of this is nip bottles. Bristol government is getting 5 cents per nip bottle sold but the problem is not being rectified. There is more trash and alcohol bottles strewn all over town than ever before. We need to make the town and violators accountable for this and not at the tax payers’ expense. I pick up trash every day on my walks around Bristol. Let’s now make Bristol City Council aware that we as residents want the city accountable and an effective action plan implemented by the town.
