In 2008, Emily Machado was suddenly stripped of her life when her mother, grandparents and others internationally abducted her from Illinois and fled to Brazil.
Prior to the abduction, It was ordered by the courts that no parent could leave with the child without written consent from the other parent, or express written consent from the court in Cook County, IL.
When Emily was abducted, local authorities, and the district attorney refused to file charges of abduction, saying they all were in their right to leave.
I am now calling on the FBI, State Attorney of Cook County, and the Berwyn police to file charges of International kidnapping. Grandparents have no rights to a child, and fleeing with the grandchild is kidnapping.
