The linking rule applies to DLA (disability living allowance) paid to disabled people for their care. If they go into respite care, and do not have twenty eight days in between breaks, they lose it. This means that carers may get a break, say at the sart of the school holidays, and they may have had a break two weeks before. They may then go all through the school holidays with no breah at all. This means that people are providing skilled nursing care, with no union no rights and no money, because they lose their DLA because of the two weeks. Confused? So are disabled people and their carers! Please help.

WE THE UNDERSIGNED DEMAND A CHANGE TO THE UNFAIR AND ILLOGICAL RULE THAT IS APPLIED TO THE DISABILITY LIVING ALLOWANCE.
