Children are bringing mobile phones to school and accessing porn and other distressing material .
Some schools ban phones during class time but are happy for students to have these devices in the school yard where the children have even more privacy to obtain inappropriate materials
We need to protect our children’s mental health as well as prevent children who have a right to feel comfortable and safe while at school from being forced to engage in such lewd behaviour
We call on the Australian government to ban the use of mobile phones during school hours which could lead to minors accessing inappropriate material
