Arun District Council should address overcrowding
March 05, 2006
Arun District Council have adopted the Government Policy of allowing anyone to apply for council housing.
This ignores local people and the waiting list has quadrupled in the last seven years. A typical example was reported in the local paper http://www.littlehamptontoday.co.uk/ViewArticle2.aspx?
SectionID=467&ArticleID=1257411 but Arun District Council have chosen not to address the issue.
However they have chosen to build 400 homes planned for Toddington, buit only some 5% will be allocated to social housing.
The local Councillors are so narrow minded, but ensuring they will gain from such a move.
We respectfully request that Arun District Council changes its current Housing Policy and give priority to Local People living in Overcrowded situations.
The Arun District Council should address overcrowding petition to Arun District Council was written by Nicki and is in the category Local Government at GoPetition.
