Bus 5483 – Accounting for Managerial Control is a specifically required course for the CPA exam and a required course for the MBA accounting emphasis program. If students cannot take this class in the summer, they will have to wait until next summer to graduate.
If students are allowed to substitute another course for this one, they will not be eligible to sit for the CPA exam. We feel TWU is not recognizing the importance of certain courses being offered, and is hindering accounting students from achieving their goal of obtaining the CPA certification.
We, the undersigned students of Texas Woman’s University, call upon our leaders to please consider a revised budget in which cuts are made in areas other than our required courses for the CPA exam.
We want TWU to offer Bus 5483 in the Summer Session of 2010.
