Petition: It is important because after we serve, as an United States
Air Force Reservist for ten years, we are not allowed on base. That
is, those of us who performed in normal duty (fourteen active days per
year (TDY), sixteen hours per month, and additional TDY training) for
ten years. All of us are still considered Veterans with honorable
service, so I don't understand why we can't use the facilities on any
base.
Resolution: I think it would bring more revenue back into the base
too, and it would be really great to those who can't get back on a
base, especially to shop and enjoy at least some of those things they
used to do while serving. Without the benefit (why not), I think it
doesn't serve much of a purpose especially to those who have served
for at least 10 years, honorably.
