Although they are both now deceased, I believe their families would take great pleasure in knowing that the British public thank them, and have not forgotten them

We, the undersigned, call on the British Government and Her Majesty The Queen, to confer posthumous knighthoods upon Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise in recognition of the years of entertainment they gave and are still giving the British public.
