Demanding better Education for African/Caribbean children |

Category: Education
Region: United Kingdom
Target: Parents/teachers/ofsted/headteachers
Description/History:
African/Caribbean children are trailing behind other races in schools. There are continuous reports of our children being kicked out of class and permanently excluded.
Recent articles in the media linked Ofsted to institutionalised racism, failing to address the problem at hand.
Parents are failing their children by not supporting them enough in and outside of the home and in turn the parents are not receiving the appropriate support from the schools.
Something needs to change! Ofsted needs to address their standards and practices, also review the imbalance of African/Caribbean educators.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on Ofsted to review the teaching practices of permanently excluding african/caribbean students and the lack of African/Caribbean educators.
