Help Save Future America

Today I want to address a very important current event, budget cuts to schools. We spend money every year on things like prison, healthcare, social services, and education. With the deficit rising the governments are choosing to cut money away from SCHOOLS!

Many schools districts have lost millions to maybe even billions of dollars. Now with the sudden budget cuts schools are being forced to cut jobs (which is only increasing our jobless rate by the way) and taking away from the learning going on in the classes. Students are not getting the right education they deserve. They are losing out on a class and possibly a great teacher who may no longer be there. Many statistics show that, without a good education, kids will grow up into a poverty lifestyle or stay in poverty.

Not to mention those who will take a darker path and end up in prison. In fact, half of inmates are functional illiterate and forty percent of juveniles have learning disabilities that were not addressed in school. And of course we can't forget about those who are losing a job when they did nothing wrong. Those working citizens are putting back in our economy yet we are making them part of the jobless rate in this nation. So clearly the cuts to education cannot help get us out of this fiscal crisis. No offense to Obama but if he plans on helping the poverty rate then he should be helping education. That goes for states as well.

We all need to think about the future for a bit. Think about what will happen to those kids who aren’t getting a fair education. Think about all those kids who will someday be our leaders and hopefully lead America to greater levels. So now I’m proposing everyone signs the petition so we can help those kids who are our future!!!
