Residents of the Sunshine Coast are becoming tired of the chaos the youth cause due to lack of proper events to keep them occupied. A Youth Panel is a way that the teenagers of the Sunshine Coast can get involved, have their voices heard and gain some 'real world' knowledge whilst doing so.
The Maroochy Shire Council, now part of the amalgamated Sunshine Coast Regional Council, had a youth council but this was dismembered about a year ago.
Setting up a Youth Panel will help the coast promote a more family friendly enironment for all residents whilst promoting events for those under 18s that are safe and secure.
We, the undersigned, call on the Sunshine Coast Regional Council to set up a youth council to reach the further demographic of Sunshine Coast teenagers.
By setting up such a council we ask the Council to listen to their opinions and set up events that will keep all residents safe.
