Yes to Alexander St CHOOKS! We have two unused triangles of land outside our
Gate in Alexander st Manly. One of these spaces was filled with rubbish, broken bottles and bags of doggy doo. We cleaned up the site and put our chickens there for all to enjoy.
Many of the local children stop and say hi, have a play, pick some veggies and feed the chooks! Even take home an egg or two from the basket that hangs on the chook fence. We have lots of support from the locals but one person did complain and we are now petitioning to keep the chooks and use the space as a community garden.

We, the undersigned, call on Manly Council to issue a lease of the public land space at Alexander St to Kristy Barbara for the sole purpose of creating a community shared garden / chicken pen.
