The San Carlos Parks and Rec Department is recommending synthetic turf be placed on the lower field at Highlands Park and synthetic turf and lights on the field at Heather School.
We, the undersigned, are petitioning the City of San Carlos to approve the installation of synthetic turf at Highlands Park (lower field) and synthetic turf and lights at Heather School as outlined in the proposal put forth to the Parks and Rec Commission by the Parks and Rec Department. Everyone agrees the fields in this city are overused. Proceeding with the above installations will allow us to have two usable fields year round. Without these fields and lights, San Carlos Youth Sports Programs will face a 50% reduction in allowed participation as we move towards following the Mahady Field Use Report commissioned by the city. This will leave thousands of children in San Carlos without a place to play. We urge you to vote YES ON TURF at Highlands Park and YES ON TURF and LIGHTS for Heather School.
