The WestNile 4K Project has partnered with West Nile virus (WNV) surveillance laboratories and Public Health Departments across the country to sequence more than 8,000 virus genomes. At present, this includes collaborators from 33 U.S. states (https://westnile4k.org/). The generated data will be used to uncover local transmission dynamics and to reconstruct a high definition picture of West Nile virus spread and evolution over the last 20 years in the United States.
