West Kelowna City Council has granted 2nd reading for what would be the biggest single development the city has ever seen. This Blackmun Bay development is located in the Casa Loma community just south of the Bennett Bridge. The developer is proposing to build a 9 storey complex consisting of 358 apartments, 60 townhouses, a 120 room hotel, 750+ parking stalls and a 241 boat marina (see picture above).
In addition to the concerns noted above, the addition of 538 housing units will have a major traffic impact on Sneena Road, Campbell Road and the Bennett Bridge which is already at a standstill for a good part of the morning and evening commute.

We, the undersigned are residents of West Kelowna and are opposed to the Blackmun Bay Development as presented to CWK Council.

The WEST KELOWNA RESIDENTS OPPOSED TO THE BLACKMUN BAY DEVELOPMENT petition to Mayor and Council - City of West Kelowna was written by Casa Loma Community Association (CLCA) and is in the category Neighborhood Living at GoPetition.
