The small town of Wellington in South Africa is ridden with drug abuse (Tik).
Regrettably this occurs in closely populated neighbourhoods, where innocent families become caught up in the epidemic that has manifested itself.
We can no longer stand by and allow places to open their doors on our doorsteps in our community and give them the power to further corrupt people and expose us to even more elements of crime.
We as a community must stand tall and fight against these elements and adapt an attitude of zero tolerance towards it.
We, the community of Wellington, call on the Liquor and Gambling Licencing Board to NOT GRANT the licences as this will have a negative impact on our entire town.
We cannot stand by and watch our society and loved ones self-destruct with the opening of this business on our doorsteps, DIRECTLY NEXT TO a school, and with churches just metres away inside a residential area.
