We are the true 99%. We are hard working Americans who pay our taxes and live within the laws that we have set in our society. While we may agree in general that the economy right now is hard and that things can be improved.
We do not agree with the wide spread vandalism, destruction of public property, disruption of our small businesses and employment, and health and sanitation issues that have been created by those who title themselves "Occupy Portland."
We also support the Portland Police Department and all it’s members, we believe they have had a difficult task over this last weekend to deal with a small minority of citizens determined to break the law with civil unrest and not accept the consequences of such choices.
We believe that the Portland Police Department has reacted as best as they could in the situation, to protect their members who are just as much the true 99% like us while at the same time enforcing the laws that have been acted for all of our health and safety.

We sign this petition asking those identified as “Occupy Portland” to apologize to us, the true 99%, for destroying our public property, for creating health and safety issues, and for putting our public safety and police officers at risk with little regard.
We sign this petition to send a message to those identifying as “Occupy Portland” to tell them to go home, stop squatting on our public property, and utilize the democracy our country is renowned for to accomplish their goals.
Find candidates to represent your voice, vote, and accept that not everyone will agree with your extreme views or find a middle ground.
