For this upcoming 2019-20 school year, Dr. Scott Martzloff, District Superintendent, and Williamsville Central School District Administrators, have allowed for the removal of the Homecoming King and Queen tradition. This decision was made in neglect of the opinions of the student body and is not well received by many district wide. The tradition of the Homecoming King and Queen has been an important part of homecoming activities since each individual school’s inaugural homecoming. This petition serves to potentially reverse this decision and bring back the beloved tradition to all three Williamsville high schools’ homecoming activities.
We, the undersigned, call on the Williamsville Central School District Administration to reverse the decision or hold a vote in regards to the Homecoming King and Queen Ceremony.
