Village of Mamaroneck ordinances have cast aside New York State Department of Motor Vehicle, "DMV" regulations in what it defines as a commercial vehicle. The NYS DMV defines a passenger vehicle in how it is made and not how it is used. The Village of Mamaroneck determines a commercial vehicle in how the vehicle is used including license plate markings. Even if that commercial use is in another jurisdiction and prohibited by local law it does not matter, the Village of Mamaroneck will consider the Transportation Network Vehicle, "TNC" as a commercial vehicle for parking regulations and issue summons for parking rights enjoyed by other vehicles and their owners.
We the undersigned call on the Village of Mamaroneck to follow NYS DMV "TNC" Vehilce Regulations for both traffic and parking. Let the hard working Uber/Lfyt drivers have the same DMV Regulations that everyone else enjoys, must adhere to and follow. DMV Regulations do not consider TNC Vehicles to be Taxi's, Livery and or commercial vehicles, but rather passenger vehicles.
